First Night Northampton 2019

Husband and wife team, Nick Deysher and Tracey Freitag have been performing music for kids and families as In The Nick of Time since 2000. They moved to the Pioneer Valley in 2013 when Nick began teaching music at the Smith College Center for Early Childhood Education at Fort Hill. In The Nick of Time has four award-winning albums, and their “Dinosaur Song” video has received over 1 million hits on YouTube. With an eclectic mix of rock, folk, funk, reggae, hip-hop, and country, In The Nick of Time pays homage to a broad range of musical influences, exposing children to many popular genres that they can enjoy with the grown-ups in their lives. Their 2009 Parents’ Choice Gold Medal winning album People, Places and Things features a tribute song to “The Man in Black” called “Alligator Sally,” so it was any easy choice to take on the role of Johnny Cash and June Carter!
