The Greys are a poetry driven indie rock band with jazz roots from Western, MA. Originally a voice and bass duo created by college friends Cait Simpson and Chris Merritt, the now-quartet writes songs of resilience and strength, as well as about experiences with mental illness. In the past year, drummer Josh Daniel (Hot Dirt, The Leafies You Gave Me) and pianist Mara Penatzer (Mixed Race Mixed Tape) have joined the band and have helped allow growth to new heights. The Greys will release their first full length album in early 2019 following their 2017 release of their EP “The Landing”. They are currently raising funds to do so, and you can find their campaign on Kickstarter.
